APC InfraStruXure Central Overview:

In today’s thriving business climate, it’s critical to have real-time, organization-wide access to physical and environmental data that can threaten the systems, infrastructure and assets that are critical to running a business. InfraStruXure® Central provides an efficient way for organizations to manage their company-wide physical infrastructure devices. Available on a range of hardware platforms, InfraStruXure Central acts as a centralized repository for critical power, cooling, and environmental data, as well as camera image data.

The InfraStruXure Central server is a single database that can be accessed from multiple consoles running on multiple systems, which creates a consolidated view of the physical infrastructure layer. InfraStruXure Central’s granular user and group privilege levels allow different users from multiple departments to easily view and analyze information, giving users a 24/7 view into the status of their environment.

Real-time device monitoring, custom reporting capabilities, private networking, advanced security and instant event notification enable quick assessment and resolution of critical situations. InfraStruXure Central’s extensible platform can be scaled to grow with a business by supporting additional device licenses as needed, while powerful add-on software modules will help to expand the product’s management capabilities.

Surveillance :

NetBotz Surveillance is an add-on software module for InfraStruXure Central that captures a visual record of who enters critical areas and what they do while they are there. This software captures events as they occur and stores the clips locally at the appliance, or centrally. Options are provided for accessing surveillance events by date and time and for showing movie-like clips of those events.

Live surveillance images can also be displayed from all of the NetBotz appliances. Surveillance clips can be ‘digitally signed’, which is the digital equivalent of a visually watermarked document. These digital signatures make it very difficult to hide any tampering of images, and provide high confidence in the integrity of the surveillance clips.

InfraStruXure Surveillance allows users to tag clips for later retrieval and review. Tags can include keywords and text description, as well as level of priority. Users can then use a flexible new search interface to rapidly find clips by camera, date, category, level of importance, or text.
